Taxonomy
Pecten cercadica was named by Maury (1917). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pecten (Plagioctenium) cercadica by Hubbard (1920); it was recombined as Antillipecten cercadicus by Waller (2011).

Synonyms
  • Pecten gardnerae was named by Cooke (1919) [DISTRIBUTION: ?Oligocene-Miocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is USNM 167113, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 3440, which is in a Miocene coastal marl in Cuba.

    It was recombined as Pecten (Plagioctenium) gardnerae by Cooke (1919); it was synonymized subjectively with Antillipecten cercadicus by Waller (2011).
