Recorded measurements are for adult or near-adult specimens only (age nine or more). Numerous juvenile specimens were also measured by Erickson et al. (2009).

Taxonomy
Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis was named by Zhou et al. (2006). Its type specimen is ZMNH M8137, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lujiatun village 3, Yixian (ZMNH), which is in an Aptian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Yixian Formation of China.
