Indotherium pranhitai
Taxonomy
Indotherium pranhitai was named by Yadagiri (1984). Its type specimen is GSI Type No. SR/PAL/11 (= VPL/JU/KM/11), a tooth (left lower molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Paikasigudem village, which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian terrestrial siltstone/sandstone in the Kota Formation of India. It is the type species of Indotherium.
