Vastanavis eocaena

Taxonomy
Vastanavis eocaena was named by Mayr et al. (2007). Its type specimen is GU/RSR/VAS 441, a limb element (left coracoid lacking the lateral portion of the extremitas sternalis), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine, which is in a Ypresian lagoonal siltstone/claystone in the Cambay Shale Formation of India. It is the type species of Vastanavis.
