Taxonomy
Palasterina orchilocalia was named by Herringshaw et al. (2007). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Holotype BU 675. Its type locality is Wren's Nest, which is in a Wenlock reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Much Wenlock Formation of the United Kingdom.

Herringshaw et al. 2007Palasterina with rays projecting distinctly beyond central disc; interradii and oral ray margins with small actinal ossicles, round distally and in mid-ray region, becoming irregular proximally. Adambulacrals strongly convex, with adambulacral nose incurved proximally; two spines present on adambulacral head.
