Taxonomy
Kellia oblonga was named by Conrad (1848) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Oligocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Scintilla oblonga by Conrad (1865); it was recombined as Sportella oblonga by Dockery (1982).
