Taxonomy
Schizogalerix duolebulejinensis was named by Bi et al. (1999). Its type specimen is IVPP V 11816.1, a mandible (dext with p4-m2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Halamagai, Northern Dzungar Basin, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which is in the Serravallian of sandstone the Halamagai Formation China.
