Nucula (Tellinomya) fecunda was named by Hall (1862) [DISTRIBUTION: Silurian; North America.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Ctenodonta fecunda by Ulrich (1894); it was recombined as Palaeoneilo fecunda by Harrison and Harrison (1975).
