Taxonomy
Neurotrichus polonicus was named by Skoczen (1980). Its type specimen is ISEZ PAN MF/1016/1, a mandible (dext. with p4-m2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kadzielnia, which is in a MN 17 cave horizon in Poland.
