M. R. Smith 2015 | Palaeoscolecid of uniform width with c. 100 annulations, each bearing c. 150 simple plates. Plates arranged in two adjacent rows on each edge of each annulation. Plates circular, of uniform size, with marginal rim and pronounced central boss; platelets not evident. Introvert armature comprising c. 28 posterior-directed introvert hooks, a ring of coronal spines, and quincun- cially arranged pharyngeal teeth. Two pairs of tail hooks symmetrically disposed about terminal anus. |
