Bensonomys lindsayi
Taxonomy
Bensonomys lindsayi was named by Kelly (2007). Its type specimen is LACM 153284, a mandible (partial left dentary with i-m3), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Smith Valley (LACM 7685), which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Coal Valley Formation of Nevada.
