Taxonomy
Petenyia robusta was named by Rzebik-Kowalska (1989). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Podlesice, which is in a MN 14 cave breccia in Poland. It is the type species of Cokia.

It was recombined as Cokia robusta by Storch (1995).
