Cokia kowalskae

Taxonomy
Cokia kowalskae was named by Storch (1995). Its type specimen is IVPP V12132, a tooth (P4 sup. sin.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ertemte 2, which is in a Miocene lacustrine horizon in China.

Diagnosis

G. Storch 1995P4 with subtriangular occlusal outline and small hypoconal flange; protocone very strong and ridge-like, with a high, sloping lingual face. m1 and m2 of subequal size. Mental foramen placed somewhat more posteriorly, below posterior edge of m1. Alveolus of i inf. extending further posteriorly, beneath hypocone of m1.
