Flexicalymene planilabra
Taxonomy
Flexicalymene planilabra was named by Stumm and Kauffman (1958). Its type specimen is UMMP 34244, a cephalon/head (cranidium with glabella, right cheek & preglabellar field), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Sun Oil Company, Buss-Halb unit No. 1 well core, Freedom Township, which is in a Rocklandian/Shermanian carbonate limestone in the Trenton Formation of Michigan.
