Taxonomy
Phacelostylophyllum medium was named by Roniewicz (1974). It is not extant. Its type locality is Pass in Mt. Kulawiec, high-tatric series, which is in a Rhaetian perireef or subreef limestone in Poland.

It was recombined as Stylophyllopsis media by Roniewicz and Michalík (1998).
