Koninckopora was named by Lee (1912). It is not extant. Its type is Koninckopora inflata.

It was assigned to Stenoporidae by Bassler (1953); to Dasycladaceae by Andrews (1970); and to Dasycladales by Wood (1942) and Kiessling (2003).
