Taxonomy
Myalina lamellosa was named by McRoberts and Newell (2005). Its type locality is USNM702, Split Tank, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Cathedral Mountain Formation of Texas.
