Taxonomy
Projenneria sabaica was named by Fehse (2007) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Oman.]. Its type specimen is NHMW 2006z0231/0070, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Gebel Madrakah - Ghubbarah Fm, which is in an Aquitanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal floatstone in the Ghubbarah Formation of Oman.
