Terebellum subconvolutum was named by d'Orbigny (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Italy, Oman.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Seraphs (Seraphs) subconvolutus by Jung (1974); it was recombined as Seraphs subconvolutus by Harzhauser (2007).
