Conorbis dormitor sindiensis was named by Vredenburg (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Pakistan.]. Its type specimen is Unknown number, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Conorbis sindiensis by Vredenburg (1925), Harzhauser (2007) and Harzhauser et al. (2009).
