Solarium carocollata was named by Lamarck (1822) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Miocene; North Sea Basin, Mediterranean, Paratethys, Iran.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Architectonica carocollata by Harzhauser (2004).
