Taxonomy
Rhombodus ibericus was named by Kriwet et al. (2007). Its type specimen is FONT6-P-027, a tooth, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Fontllonga 6, which is in a Maastrichtian lagoonal sandstone in the Figuerola Formation of Spain.
