Nuculana (Saccella) fabalis was named by Olsson (1964) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Ecuador, Mexico.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Saccella fabalis by Woodring (1973) and Perrilliat (1992).
