Taxonomy
Labioporella bassleri was named by Guha and Gipikrishna (2007) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; India. COMMENTS: unilaminar colony encrusting hard substrate.]. Its type specimen is GSI K60/785 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Khari Nadi Fm, which is in an Aquitanian marine limestone/siltstone in the Khari Nadi Formation of India.
