It was corrected as Polycystida by Kozur et al. (1996); it was reranked as the superorder Polycystina by De Wever et al. (2001), Buckman and Aitchison (2001) and Takahashi and Miyake (2014).

It was assigned to Radiolaria by Kozur et al. (1996), De Wever et al. (2001), Buckman and Aitchison (2001), Feng et al. (2004), Maletz and Bruton (2008) and Takahashi and Miyake (2014).
