Triton neacolubrinus was named by Noetling (1901) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; India, Myanmar.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Hindsia neacolubrinus by Vredenburg (1921); it was recombined as Nassaria neacolubrinus by Mukerjee (1939).
