Fusus seminudus was named by Noetling (1901) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Miocene; Myanmar, India.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Clavilithes seminudus by Vredenburg (1921); it was recombined as Clavilithes (Cyrtulus) seminudus by Mukerjee (1939).
