Taxonomy
Corbula gatunensis was named by Toula (1909) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; circum-Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Corbula (Aloidis) gatunensis by Hodson and Hodson (1931); it was recombined as Bothrocorbula (Hexacorbula) gatunensis by Woodring (1982) and Perrilliat (1992).
