Terebra woodwardiana was named by Martin (1879) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Indonesia, India.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Terebra (Duplicaria) woodwardiana by Vredenburg (1921) and Mukerjee (1939).
