Turritella incrassata was named by Sowerby (1814) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene; Northern Europe.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Haustator incrassata by Marquet (1984); it was recombined as Turritella (Haustator) incrassata by Harmer (1918) and Marquet (1997).
