J., Jr. Pojeta and C. A. Stott 2007Glycymeriform nuculoids having broad reduced umbones, beaks prominent and separate the teeth into anterior and posterior rows. Hinge plate arcuate, wide and broad, having uninterrupted anterior and posterior taxodont tooth rows that meet at an obtuse angle (>100˚); shape of teeth variable, ranging from peg-like below the beak to chevron-shaped. Teeth below beak not diminished in size. Ligament external. Ornament comarginal. Hinge axis pases through posterior row of teeth.
