Taxonomy
Cystolonsdaleia carteri was named by Bamber and Fedorowski (1998). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is GSC 60192/3, SW Blue Mountains C, Ellesmere Island, which is in a Kasimovian marine limestone in the Hare Fiord Formation of Canada.
