Taxonomy
Petalaxis parvus was named by Bamber and Fedorowski (1998). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is GSC C-179734, W Blind Fiord, Ellesmere Island, which is in a Kasimovian shallow subtidal limestone in the Nansen Formation of Canada.
