Taxonomy
Hyaloea trispinosa was named by de Blainville (1821) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Recent; Dominican Republic, Mediterranean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Diacria trispinosa by Sturani (1978) and Zorn (1997).

Synonyms
  • Diacria bisulcata was named by Gabb (1873) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 2894, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Diacria trispinosa by Janssen (1999).
