Terebra (Hastula) mayoi was named by Vredenburg (1921) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Myanmar.]. Its type specimen is Unknown number, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Tittabwe (Kama stage), which is in an Aquitanian marine horizon in the Kama Formation of Myanmar.
