Denverus middletoni
Taxonomy
Denverus middletoni was named by Hutchison and Holroyd (2003). Its type specimen is UCM 48400, a partial skeleton (parts of carapace and plastron), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is east bank, Jimmy Camp Creek (UCM Loc. 79013), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Denver Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Denverus.
