Taxonomy
Platycrinites omanensis was named by Webster and Sevastopulo (2007). Its type specimen is TCD 59010, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jebel Qarari, Al Ashkharak, which is in an Artinskian offshore shelf shale/limestone in the Al Jil Formation of Oman.
