Scalaria subtenuilamella was named by d'Archiac and Haime (1854) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Scala (Cirsotrema) subtenuilamella by Vredenburg (1928).
