Rostellaria prestwichi was named by d'Archaic and Haime (1854) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene-Middle Eocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Rimella prestwichi by Cossmann and Pissarro (1909) and Iqbal (1973).
