Taxonomy
Meifodia discoidalis was named by Jin et al. (1993). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 80571, Attawapiskat River, which is in a Telychian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Attawapiskat Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Cerasina discoidalis by Copper (1995).
