Lucina deperdita was named by Michelotti (1861) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Megaxinus deperditus by Sacco (1901); it was recombined as Lucina (Gibbolucina) deperdita by Vredenburg (1928).
