M. Harzhauser and T. Kowalke 2002 | The low-conical shell comprises 6-8 flat to slightly rounded whorls. It measures up to 20 mm in height and 15 mm in width. The protoconch appears to be smooth. It measures 0.05-0.06 mm in the width of the initial cap and 0.2-0.3 mm in maximum diameter. The transition to the teleoconch is characterised by a thickened rim. The onset of the teleoconch is indicated by the formation of dense, straight to slightly prosocyrte growth lines and six strong spiral keels with about equal distances between them. The base is ornamented by ten spiral keels. The keels may bear more or less evident nodes. Further sculpture consists of numerous very fine spiral threads on the main keels and intercalated. The slightly oblique aperture is fragmented. A rounded shape is indicated. |
