Pectunculus dispar was named by Defrance (1826) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Axinaea dispar by Cossmann and Pissarro (1904); it was recombined as Glycymeris dispar by Glibert (1985) and Pacaud and Le Renard (1995).
