Rissoa multicingulata was named by Boettger (1887) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Zebina (Stossichia) multicingulata by Baluk (1975); it was recombined as Stossichia multicingulata by Cossmann (1921) and Harzhauser (2002).
