Natica (Polinices) pseudoredempta was named by Friedberg (1923) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Polinices (Polinices) pseudoredempta by Kojumdgieva and Strachimirov (1960); it was recombined as Polynices pseudoredempta by Kokay (1966); it was recombined as Polinices pseudoredempta by Baluk (1995) and Harzhauser (2002).
