Taxonomy
Fusus bistriatus was named by Gumbel (1861) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Murex bistriatus by Wolff (1897); it was recombined as Ocinebrina bistriata by Hözl (1957), Harzhauser and Mandic (2001) and Harzhauser and Mandic (2001).
