Triton parvulum was named by Michelotti (1847) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Triton (Sassia) parvulum by Sacco (1904); it was recombined as Charonia (Sassia) parvula by Kojumdgieva and Strachimirov (1960); it was recombined as Sassia parvula by Harzhauser (2002).
