Taxonomy
Cypraea lynx was named by Linnaeus (1758) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Indo-Pacific. COMMENTS: m. kosnik taxon no: 10469]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Cypraea (Lyncina) lynx by Tryon (1883) and Ladd (1977); it was recombined as Lyncina lynx by Cernohorsky (1967).
