Taxonomy
Latimaeandra polymorpha was named by Koby (1906). Its type specimen is NMB-D6470-6477 and MNHN-F-B47547 (Syntypes) and is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Dimorphastraea polymorpha by Koby (1905); it was recombined as Comophyllia polymorpha by Koby (1888), Beauvais (1972) and Pandey et al. (2007).
