Taxonomy
Nassaria magnifica was named by Lischke (1871) [DISTRIBTUION: Late Miocene-Recent; Japan.]. It is extant. It is the type species of Hindsia (Nihonophos).

It was recombined as Nassaria (Hindsia) magnifica by Pilsbry (1895); it was recombined as Hindsia (Nihonophos) magnifica by MacNeil (1960).
